Essay
Say yes before you have time to think about it.
There is a specific kind of evening where you open the app with no plan, see something starting in ninety minutes, and get exactly one honest window to decide before the sensible voice arrives with reasons to stay home. It is tired. It has nothing to wear. It does not know anyone going. All true, all beside the point.
The bookings people talk about afterwards are almost never the ones they planned two weeks out. They are the ones where the whole decision happened in the time it took to tap “book” before overthinking caught up: a Tuesday harbour swim, a life drawing class with three spots left, a pasta night because it was raining and pasta sounded right.
Credits roll over, so there is no version of this where saying yes on a whim costs you something you were saving for later. The only real risk is closing the app and saying yes to the sofa instead, which is a plan you can always make again tomorrow.
